Company Support for its Working Parents Drives Public Support Too

While living and working through a global pandemic has challenged all professionals in myriad ways, workers also parenting through this era have struggled with an additional set of obstacles.

Managing through extended school and daycare closures, waiting out delayed vaccine eligibility and associated longer quarantine periods, and tending to the heightened social and emotional development strains of children of all ages during this time are just some of the tasks exacting a steep toll on parents during the pandemic. Companies that have taken steps to help working parents shoulder these burdens, however, appear to be earning reputational benefit.

Among members of the Informed Public, 81% said they would be more likely to consider a company as a place they would want to work, buy from or do business if they knew the company was accommodating parents during the pandemic.
