Corporate purpose drives considerable discussion in the business community and served as a centerpiece of Larry Fink’s annual letter to CEOs this year. It also frequently comes up in executive conversations around attracting and retaining talent during this time that has become known as the Great Resignation or Great Reset. As organizations attract more attention – and face greater scrutiny – for what they stand for and why they exist (and from a range of critical stakeholders), the question of who will be accountable for delivering on initiatives connected to their company’s purpose will attract more attention as well.
