CEOs See They Must Model Behavior for Flexible Work Success

As companies reconfigure operations to sustain the more flexible work experience that is required to attract and retain top talent today, they’d be wise to make sure those changes reach all the way to the c-suite. And Transformative CEOs are leading the way, well aware that, like all things related to culture, the tone is set at the top. Among a select group of executives who are part of the Transformative ommunity, nearly 6-in-10 believe that top executives should model the behaviors that make hybrid and flexible work policies successful. In that group, 55% take it one step further, believing that top executives should actually “lead by example and model behaviors so employees feel they have permission, too.” The others in that group believe top executives should model the behaviors, but sometimes CEO and top executive roles are inherently less flexible. The remaining 4-in-10 believe it isn’t important for top executives to model the behaviors for hybrid/flexible work to succeed.
