When Peter Cuneo became CEO of Marvel Entertainment, Inc. it was emerging from bankruptcy and had only $3 million capital reserves and stock was as low as 96 cents a share. Using no hard assets only the IP ( intellectual property ) of 5,000 comic book characters — Cuneo led one of the greatest turnarounds in modern business history. Within a decade, Marvel was purchased by Disney for $54 a share! Cuneo talks about the many specific strategies he used to turn Marvel around and explains the process of turning a failing company into a winner.
