Building a shared vision
Hikmet Ersek became president and chief executive officer of The Western Union Company on Sept. 1, 2010. In this role, Ersek is responsible for the financial and overall operational performance of the company, which reported $5.2 billion in revenue for 2010. As leader of Western Union, a Fortune 500, NYSE-listed company, Ersek has executive management oversight of a network of approximately 435,000 Agent locations in 200 countries and territories. In addition, he oversees an employee base of over 7,000 people in 50 countries.
