In yet another sign of increasing expectations for the role of companies in society, recent polling of the US Informed Public shows the majority of people think corporate America has some or significant ability to influence or shape solutions to the biggest problems we face as a society.
Americans have roughly the same faith in the ability of corporations (81%), industries working together (84%) and CEOs (76%) to solve problems as they do in federal and state government (83% and 84%, respectively).
The private industry appears ready to answer this call: executives in the Transformative ommunity report feeling prepared to weigh in on and respond to societal issues on behalf of their company.
