Three in four Americans say an employer’s reputation has at least some impact on whether they would consider a position at that company, new Purple Strategies polling shows. When asked to rate how much an employer’s reputation matters when considering employment opportunities, using a 1-7 scale, 77% score it a 5 or higher, with nearly a third (30%) scoring it a 7, denoting a significant impact. While classic approaches of offering a higher salary, a better title, or a more prestigious role may help attract candidates, it’s clear that building a strong reputation should not be overlooked as part of companies’ recruitment toolkits.
