As the end of the year comes into focus, more than 1 in 4 Americans (27%) say they trust business less since the beginning of the year. This decline is more prominent among women (33%), adults ages 18-34 (31%), minorities (32%), and Democrats (33%). While the full picture of what is driving trust down isn’t clear, we can look at 2022 as a year where trust in businesses took a hit with key demographic groups.
